I only play casually against a couple of friends so my experiences may not be what's best from a tournament list building type but from a more relaxed viewpoint I certainly love the acid spray fex. ![]() If he does get charged, you know you have a decent overwatch. Once he's mid table and shooting twice usually turn 2 onwards after me and my opponent has moved in turn 1 I find it to be more of a case, right whats next for him to kill. I usually run him up the table with multiple units causing them to have to select what they want to shoot, with T8 and 14? wounds he can take one hell of a beating and the bonus is if he does get targeted and is still standing, those acid spray shots auto hit so his degrading stats matter less (another down point on the fex with rupture cannon). The acid spray fex however I actually love when I play my more aggressive army stomping up the table. ![]() I much prefer the exocrine for this type of game as I know what to expect and over an entire game it's never far out. I've taken down a deathdread turn 1 in one volley and other times i've managed a couple of wounds the 6 shots usually get wittled down to 2 getting through for damage sometimes just 1 and then its D6 so it can be fantastic, can be garbage. I run the tyrannofex with rupture cannons / acid spray depending on my mood on the day, I have found the Tyrannofex with rupture cannon does attract a lot of attention early doors due to its damage potential, but for me i find it's usefulness too unpredictable. ![]()
