![]() ![]() If you later want to change the text color, font, or size simply select the text with the Type Tool and edit your text as you normally do in Illustrator. Now that you know how to make an editable Isometric 3D text in Illustrator, you can follow the same steps of this tutorial but using different settings for each of the panels to make your project unique. Lastly, click on the "Render with Ray Tracing" icon. Next, select the "Lighting" panel and apply the following settings. Select the "Material" panel and apply the following settings. I'll zoom out, select everything, and we're going to knock that stroke down, because it's quite thick. If I zoom in here, this would be our working area. Now, if we hold down shift and move this into place, you can see we now have a full two-point perspective grid. You can also use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+I to show - and also hide. To view the default two-point perspective grid in a document, you can Click View > Perspective Grid > Show Grid. As incredibly useful as the perspective tool is, you may also want to switch it off while working on your designs. We're now going to select both of these, right-click, and hit reflect again, except at this point, we're going to go horizontally, and click copy. How to get rid of perspective grid in Illustrator. Now, we just need to drag these out so that they overlap, like this. Hit OK, and now, we have our two vanishing points that make up two-point perspective. We're now going to right-click, hit transform, and then reflect, which brings up this panel. We're going to zoom out a bit here, grab our group of guide lines, and copy it over by holding down alt. We're now going to select all our lines by clicking and dragging, and hitting command-G to group them all together. We're now going to hit command-D to repeat that action, which is going to create a fan of guide lines out from our origin point. Now, in our rotate panel, we're going to type in five degrees, and hit copy. To do that, we're going to hold down alt and click here on the end. We want to move our point of origin from the center to the edge here that's going to be our first vanishing point.
